As it has always been, the well-being, safety and security of our guests and team members here at Rogner Hotel Tirana remain our highest priority.

We wanted to take a moment to share how we are responding to the recent development of the COVID-19 pandemic, while operating with a heightened sense of care and responsibility towards our valued guests, suppliers and employees.

We have been closely monitoring the statements of World Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Health and Social Protection and other related local and international authorities regarding the situation. A dedicated team is working to make sure that they implement the latest protocols, guidance and advice on hygiene and cleaning, to ensure your safety and protection while you stay with us.

We would like to thank you for the trust and support and we look forward to taking care of you during your next stay!

1. Why have your Hotel been opened during this time?

According to Albanian government decision the hotels were permitted to stay open during this period. Even though many other properties in the city decided to close, we had our doors open not only to provide service for any possible guest, but also to use this period and make some renovation works in our Hotel, as well as a general and deep cleaning of all our rooms, conference spaces, Bars, Restaurant and all other areas of the Hotel to be ready for welcoming our guests in a well maintained hotel. 

We took advantage of this quiet period also to develop and implement our hotels prevention plan.  


2. What measures have been taken to protect staff and clients?

We have been working during all this time to maximize our standards in cleaning and hygiene based on the guidelines of the WHO, Albanian Ministry of Health and other local health institutions. We are dedicated to play our part in trying to prevent the pandemic and we ask to our guests to do the same by following the guidelines regarding personal hygiene, respiratory etiquette and social distancing.

Some of the measures the Hotel has taken in this regard are described below:

  • A dedicated internal Coronavirus response team was selected and is in charge for the implementation and supervising of the prevention plan.
  • A concierge team has been trained and is in charge to inform all hotel guests/visitors on the measures the hotel has taken and to ensure that they are respecting the hygiene and social distancing measures.
  • All the staff of the Hotel is trained continuously for the hygiene standards, respiratory etiquettes and social distancing (no hand shake or hugs are allowed) actions they must follow, as well as to recognize the symptoms of the virus.
  • Daily updates to our employees about new safety measures.
  • An Internal regulation with all the actions and procedures that the staff must follow up and monitor is provided by the management and shared with all the team.
  • Up to date information is shared daily at the online meetings with the department heads 
  • Informative posters are placed in different working places, main entrance and elevators to inform staff and guests the ethics of the good respiratory, cough and hand wash.
  • Extensive sanitizing practices in all areas, from guest rooms to back offices, public areas including lobby, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, change rooms, etc.
  • Infrared thermometers available at front desk to conduct temperature checks of our guests and employees. 
  • The hotel rooms are rearranged and some not necessary frequently touched objects are removed and will be provided to you on request. The remote control is covered by a plastic material and disinfected continuously. All the other necessary objects are disinfected after each guests check out.
  • After each departure the room will stay vacant for 24 hours with open windows to get extra fresh air in it.
  • The hotel linens are washed in a higher temperature.
  • Tables in the Bar and Restaurant are reorganized to give more space between clients. More tables and chairs are placed in all open areas (Bar & Restaurant terrace/beer garden/pool area) to avoid the frequency of guests in same places. 
  • All tableware including salt & pepper shakers, toothpick holders, sugar container, tent card holders, menus and bill folders are cleaned and sanitized after each use. 
  • All the frequently touched areas and surfaces are sanitized every hour.
  • Any food or beverage order will be served to your room without extra charge.
  • Our kitchen team is focused on serving nutritious and delicious fresh food that is prepared safely following strictly the HACCP standards and procedures 


3. What are you doing if a guest or staffs become ill?

Our staff is been trained by the company’s doctor for being able to recognize the symptoms of the virus and they are advised to inform our doctor and the General Manager for any suspected case. 

One hotel room will be specifically used only for the guests/staff that might have symptoms or fill unwell. The room is equipped with the necessary utilities and the suspected persons will be accommodated there until a professional assistance is provided.

The company doctor will be informed first and she is in charge to inform the health institution regarding the situation. 

4. How are you ensuring social distancing?

Our team is been advised to avoid close contact with colleagues and guests and in any time the distance of 2 m should be respected.

Plexiglas dividers that serve as barriers between face to face interactions are placed at the front desk. 

Visible social distancing signs are placed on the floor to remind to guests and employees to keep a safe distance from each other.

The tables in the Bar and Restaurant are rearranged enabling a 2 m distance in between. 

One concierge is in charge to insure that all the measures that the Hotel has implemented are followed strictly.


5. Do you organize conferences and meetings in your Hotel during this period?

In this new age of the meetings industry our Hotel represents an ideal location for innovative meeting options.

Based on governments Covid protocols the organization of big conferences is not allowed during this period. Our spacious conference rooms enable meetings or trainings with smaller capacities respecting the distance required of 2 m from each participant and following strictly all the protocols and new hygiene standards to avoid the spread of the virus.

Recently we have as well invested to sophisticate our technical equipment as web cameras for video conferences and video calling and to make available dedicated internet lines in order to adapt to the new online meetings format.

At the same time our well-known garden is very suitable for organizing different meetings and events and our events team is always ready to assist you with the information required for any kind of event.



6. What other events do you organize during this period and what measures are taken to avoid the spread of the virus?

Due to the exceptional situation we are experiencing and in order to comply with all international safety and physical distancing measures we have implemented new protocols and new events formatting.

Our generous outdoor areas are transformed into the arena of children and adults birthday celebrations, special occasion celebrations, baby showers, wedding ceremonies or just get together during a nice dinner by the pool after being for a long time away from each other.

For any additional information our events team is at your disposal to guide you through new proposals, while continuing to offer the best solution for your future event.

To avoid the spread of the virus we have taken the below measures:

•   We are always attentive to respect the physical distancing when preparing a set up for an event.

•   One employee from our team is in charge to measure the temperature of each client before entering the event venue area.

•   Disinfectants are placed at the entrance of the event area.

•   For coffee-breaks, the self service is not allowed. It is our staff who will assist you with the food or drinks service. 

•   Our staff is equipped with face masks and is continuously trained to respect the new hygiene standards.



7.     Is your SPA & sauna opened?

We are pleased to inform you that recently the SPA and Sauna areas are available for the Hotel guests with some limited services. At your first visit to these areas you will be known with the new hygiene standards and protocols that must be followed to make these services safe and your experience relaxing and unforgettable.  Contact our reception team to make a reservation or to get more information regarding the prices and services available. 

8.    Can I use the pool during my stay?

We are happy to inform you that recently the use of the pool is allowed by Albanian authorities and as our guest you are welcome to take advantage of this facility.

We have taken all necessary measures to insure maximum hygiene standards limited capacity of the pool users. The set-up of the pool is as well arranged in that way to respect the required distance. Please contact our reception team for further information.

9.     Can I use the gym during my stay?

Starting from the 01st of June our gym is accessible for all Hotel guests and we have taken all the right action to avoid the spread of the virus. The machines are rearranged to ensure at least the distance of 2 m from other users. A disinfectant and personal towels are placed at the entrance of the gym to be used for hands and equipment disinfection. The cleaning lady is cleaning all the area and machines frequently during the day.



10. What other facilities do you offer for the guests during this period

Our hotel is well-known for its magnificent garden with a lot of plants, fruit trees and flower diversity, so you are welcomed to visit these areas and get relaxed inside this green oasis.

You can as well take the opportunity to play tennis in our tennis court field with a friend or colleagues or take lessons from our in house tennis teacher. Contact our reception team to fix an appointment.

11. Is the Bar and Restaurant open and can I be served there?


The Bar & Restaurant are opened for Hotel guests and outside visitors in the outdoor areas and starting from 1 October also indoor areas. You can be served there by our staff which is always very attentive to follow the required hygiene and social distancing standards.


12. How can I make a new room reservation?

13. Can I cancel a (non-refundable) reservation during COVID-19 times?

 Corona Virus pandemic has affected a lot the World of travelling. Due to its health and safety implications we understand that you may need to change your travelling plans. See below, how your booking classifies:

Individual reservation:

If you have an existing booking, which you made before April 1, and you booked it with us directly; you may change or cancel it without a cancellation fee for stays up to June 30, 2020.

For new bookings made after April 1, for stays between April 1 and June 30, 2020, at our Rogner Hotel Tirana, we confirm the possibility of modification for another interval of stay - subject to availability and/or any rate differences. All modifications must be done in writing.

A standard free cancellation policy of 24 hours prior to arrival, applies for bookings under flexible conditions. Cancellation after this deadline as well as no-shows will result in one-night’s charge. 

For bookings made through a tour operator, travel agent or online booking platform, please contact them directly to discuss your reservation and refer to their terms and conditions.

Please note that the above policies are subject to change depending on the development of the CODVID-19 pandemic. 


14. Which conditions apply for group reservations?

In these difficult times we understand our leisure, business and corporate partners that despite of borders closure they are putting all of their efforts to keep up with the sales and use time limitations for a last minute notification. Rogner Hotel Tirana is pleased to confirm:

Free modifications subject to availability and/or any rate differences for stays before June 30. If the group reservation/ meeting/event cannot be rebooked to a later date, free cancellation will be offered.

If there is a deposit done for an existing reservation, we will credit you the full amount (less the already incurred costs) for the clients to use on their next stay until May 31, 2021.

In case of new group reservations, our standard policy will apply.

Exceptions will be taken care of on a case by case basis.


15. How do I book my shuttle service during COVID-19 times?

Our in House shuttle service company is happy to organize your shuttle service from/to the airport „Nënë Tereza“ – the distance from the airport to the hotel is approximately 20 km. 24 Hours service, 2900 All/ way (approx. 24,00 Euro). Write a simple email to our reservation department at, with your flight details, so we can arrange the service. The measures and precautions that the shuttle company has taken are the following:

  • The driver will be wearing protective masks and gloves and has been instructed to limit the conversation to minimal
  • The car will be disinfected with every arrival
